Hey everyone, Gruene Hall was an awesome experience last night. Let’s face it, we’re playing for Bob Schneider fans and they don’t know who the hell I was. It looked like an emtpy soccer field in front of me with everyone on the sidelines as if they were waiting for players to emerge and start a game in the empty dance floor space.

I can understand, they don’t know what we sound like, they’re not our fans, they probably expect us to suck as an opener. So it’s already an uphill battle. You have to win the crowd over. At this point, I’m just hoping that my songs and vocals and band are going to be a great suprise and use the moment to win some new fans. Bob fans are loyal so these are “good” fans to have!

I had to pick the energy up in this place! I had to connect with the crowd. I wanted to loosen things up. We started with a nice fast poppy song “Let You In” to punch it right out of the gates. Gradually as time went on, the people came up to the front… yes the disinterested girls at the front of the stage were not coming to get closer to me, they were trying to save themselves a front-row spot for Bob. But I think I got some new fans last night. It was a lot of fun. People seemed to really like what they heard. It was a great show for a great crowd and one of the greatest venues in all of Texas.
